Parents with teenage children avert your eyes now! Dr Scott Frank, lead researcher at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Cleveland, US has produced a study that shows that teenagers that text feverishly are more likely to have sexual intercourse and binge drink.
Teenagers who send 120 texts a day or use the internet excessively face higher health risks. They are 40% more likely to have smoked, twice as likely to have tried alcohol and 43% more likely to be binge drinkers. They are also three and a half times more likely to have had sexual intercourse and 41% more likely to use drugs.
