For all the reasons we have discussed in earlier articles there is no doubt that the Daily Telegraph offended many rugby league fans with its disgraceful coverage of the Four Nations tournament in November. Many fans were angered by this lack of respect.
All rugby league fans should watch this video: Daily Telegraph’s coverage of rugby league is a disgrace on YouTube. It compiles some of the thoughts of fans but more importantly – if it gets enough watches it will be a popular result under the search term ‘Daily Telegraph’. Ben Clissitt, the Head of Sport at Telegraph Media Group, would probably rather just forget about his papers dismal coverage of the Four Nations but this will be a permanent reminder and will forever associate the paper with rugby league.
Creating a film on YouTube to make a connection between the Daily Telegraph and rugby league was one of the key objectives set out at the start of the campaign. Please click through and watch it and better still share it and like it.
Oh, by the way, Friday 1st June is the next date for action in London campaigning for better coverage of rugby league. Make a note in your diary if you wish to fight for better coverage for our sport.
